The Contagious Disease VIRUS What is virus? A virus is a computer program that is contagious and can copy itself and harm computer or computers. How do you get virus You can get virus when a person sends it over internet or another networks. You can also get virus when it attaches itself to a file or program so that when the host opens the program the virus would spread. If the host were oblivious of the fact that his or her file/ program contains virus and sends it accidently to another person, the virus would reproduce and spread. Virus reproduces by attaching itself to other programs and making more copies to infect more computers.           (How computer viruses work) How do you remove virus? You can remove a virus by using antivirus software. You will also have to remember to update your antivirus software regularly Antivirus software automatically helps you get rid of any virus that contains in your computer.   (How do you remove a computer virus?) How do you recognize virus? You can recognize a virus when abnormal things starts happening. For example, when smiley faces started popping up or the screens turning black. When virus takes, action is absolutely up to them. Virus might start the instant it is installed in a computer or the next time you start your computer              (How to recognize a virus) Never download unknown sites suggested by somebody else or accept application from a friend. The Thieves TROJAN HORSE What is Trojan Horse? Trojan Horse is a computer program, claims to be a useful program but actually a harmful to your computer. Trojan Horse can delete your files and folders or sending your private data to another location.    (How computer viruses work) How do you get them? You get Trojan Horses by downloading programs for example games without knowing that it is unsafe. Computer programs that contain Trogan Horses may seem very tempting to download but what it really does is destroy your files, folders and personal data. How do you stop them? You cannot stop Trojan Horses from attacking your computer, but you can protect your computer by downloading anti-virus programs. Make sure your anit-virus program can search everywhere in your computer just in case the Trojan Horse is hiding somewhere. This software is great for keep hackers out of your private data, files and form sending your personal information out. Also always, have a backup of all your information just in case. Saftey The way you can prevent yourself from downloading programs that contains Trojan Horses are by going into a downloading site that everybody knows, this way there is  less possibility for you to be attacked by a Trojan Horse. The most common worm is email worm. An email worm sends itself to other people found in your contract A worm is like Virus but on the other hand like Trojan Horse. It is like a virus because it duplicates itself and then spread itself to other. It is like a Trojan Horse because it attaches itself in emails and infects other computers Safety You can prevent yourself from getting is by not opening attachments in your mail. Keeping your anti-virus software up to date can be a big help too. How to get rid of it You can get rid of worm by downloading anti-virus software. Keep these softwares up to date as always. Removing a worm is quite difficult because whenever you try to delete one, the other worms that are still active would copy itself to immediately start another one. Windows’ system restores and backs up the copies of worms, but the worms would still exist in the computer existing in the restore folder. (Problems removing worms) Virus cleaner is an easy way to remove worms. Virus Cleaner scans for any worms that are active in the hard disk and then delete all the files that contains any trace of a worm. How you can tell a worm You can tell a when it is disguised as “social engineering” which make most people would want to open it. Then the worm would instantly be installed in the host’s computer. (Recognize phishing scams and fraudulent e-mail) How can you recognize Phishing You can recognize phishing when they’re disguised as a friend or on social sites. Phishing can also appear as a fake donation for charity. It can also appear as a site you are familiar with appearing as a different URL hoping that you’ll be oblivious of the fact. Phishing replaces links and URLs. How to get rid of Phishing Internet explorer 7 and Firefox 3 have built in software that can detect and warn about phishing links. For even more protection, you can even download anti-phishing software. (Anti-Phishing Software) Safety Also, do not accept emails from banks that would want to know your password Even though this is a bank you trust; it is easy for hackers to copy other people’s sites and logos. You can prevent yourself from going to phishing links by always making sure that the URL is right. Never go to a link that somebody gave you over a message.

The atomic number of Carbon is 6 and the atomic mass is 12.011.Carbon can be a solid, in fact diamond, one of the world’s hardest minerals is in the carbon family. Carbon also contains the opposite of a diamond, graphite, the softest mineral which we use as lead for our pencils. It is also a solid when it is under pressure below the ground, sometimes forming into a coal bed. When you burn the coal it forms into CO2 which is gas. Carbon can also be a liquid, when dissolved into water. Carbon has the ability to form bonds with up to 4 atoms and can also form bonds with itself.

On international day, last thursday, people from Cross roads came by and helped us with activites and gave presentations. 

In the moring, David.J gave us a speech of the develpment of Cross roads, like how it came to be the organization it is today. Then he told us about a story how a mother and her daughter and her daughter’s kids depened on living by making  paper bags. After that story he made us all form into “families” and made us sit on blue and  white plastic mats that was supposed to be our new home. Then David told us to start making paper bags out of newspaper and glue made out of flur and water in 10 minutes and to sell them. Twice my team’s 10 paper bags were ripped out by the unsatisfied shop keepers. Becuase of this, we couldn’t pay our rent. So, we had to move under the bridge becuase we borrowed money from the man who lived under the bridge. In order to pay him back, we had to work for him until he was satisfied.

From this activity I learned how hard it was to survive, supporting all my team members. We didn’t raise enough money for ONE person to go to school. I also learned what it was like living in poor conditions, and to live in poverty. Our profit was very low and when half of our family members became sick we had to work extra hard.

This gave me a real life experience of what it was like to live poorly. Even though we were in a huge air conditoned room ( i don’t think i would’ve survived outside in the heat.) and had comfortable clothes, but imagin wearing ragged clothes and out in the heat working hard to survive. This was an activity that really affected how i now look towards poverty.

The purpose of this journey is to find a new and faster routine to China by sailing west.

I’m looking for strong healthy men that can survive the difficult sea journeys and can obey the commands of the captain. I need sailors who have a good temper. I also need men who are keen for adventure, which knows about ships and can read the map. I would like men that are loyal to me and men who are fearless. So come and sail to show off you talent, China, here we come

Hey! my name is Grace. I’m here to tell you all about me, about the things i like. First, i will show you some of the best books ever, not just the books that i really like, but books everybody enjoys. The twilight series, and also the harry potter series.

Next is the one thing that I cannot survive wiothout, food, here are some food that i really enjoy  lasangna, chocolate, oreo tiramisu, pho and pizza. Eat food it’s yum!
